Literally the best professor I have had in all 4 years at UAB. If you can take his class, you should. He does call on you in class but does not judge you for not knowing the answers. You learn a lot by this teaching method and he is encouraging. The discussion posts in this class are actually interesting and the group project is really applicable.

Best professor! He really enjoys teaching and actually helps us understand. He engages us in class so get ready to be called on but he does not make you feel bad for not knowing an answer like some professors. We have to write discussions based on WSJ articles about topics related to class and they are actually super helpful and actually fun.

Very few grades are taken, 60% of your grade comes from the mid-term and final. I asked for help on the mid-term review guide only to receive a smart remark back. If you do well on tests then you will be fine, everything else about the class is easy.

There is absolutely no extra credit. I didn't do well on ONE assignment and because of that I failed the class and now have to retake it. I asked for help and extra credit since Sept. and he would always say no extra credit. I now have to retake the class and add an extra semester to my college career because of this class.

Yo Prof Davis is da bomb. He def makes you participate in class but you learn better by doing so. He spells things out for you so you can really grasp the important content while also asking engaging questions that make you dwell on the topic. He is very passionate about what he teaches which has made going to his class a joy. Def ask him 4 help

Loved this class, professor Davis was so attentive and helpful. I enjoyed watching his lectures because they were so well made that it was easy to grasp the concepts that he was presenting. He always checked in to see if anyone had questions or trouble as well as provided interesting articles to read and discuss. Amazing professor!

I openly hate on online classes at UAB. I think you're paying for a class and a textbook that results in a subpar experience. Most of the time its read the book, then a quiz once a week. However with Davis and FN330 I can finally say theres an online class I like. His video lectures are very well throughout, and doesn't overload you with work.10/10

He's the best professor I've had so far. He does a review before each test and gives bonus points to those who go to FMA meetings. Each week you have a quiz and homework. Don't buy the book or WSJ, you won't use it.
